Assessment with Session

$80

Duration: 60 minutes

In an initial assessment, we start by conducting an interview with you about your dog. This is to better assist me in understanding your dogs current mobility, environment and history. The time spent talking with you also allows your dog to become a little more familiar with me.  Following the interview, I will then assess your dog through a gait assessment, a functional test (preferably with photos to track progress) and a physical examination. Post this, we begin the service.

Remedial Massage

$50

Duration: 45 minutes

At the start of each session, we do a quick gait assessment and functional test followed by a physical examination.  Then we use a combination of techniques to massage your dog, paying particular attention to any problem areas noted in the physical exam.

Low-level Light Therapy (LLLT)

$15

Duration: 15 minutes

There are two styles of LLLT that is dependent on the reason for a treatment. If a localised area, then LLLT is applied directly to the site (i.e. wound treatment, arthritis etc). Treatments can also be done via acupoints - this style is used for general health and recovery.

Hydrotherapy

$60

Duration: 30 minutes

Hydrotherapy treatments are run in "sets" very similar to how you work out in a gym. In the first session, regardless of the fitness of your dog, we do three sets of two minutes each. This enables the dog to get used to the underwater treadmill in a slow introduction and not scare or spook the dog. Each session will then progress dependent on how the dog is reacting and improving. At most, the total time spent exercising in the underwater treadmill is 20 minutes - which is the equivalent of an hour on dry land! After exiting the treadmill, we then do a towel dry.
