about me

My name is Katherine and I grew up in Echuca surrounded by all manner of animals, but it was always dogs that held a special place in my heart. I now live on the farm I grew up on with my dogs, horse, goats, cows and sheep.

In 2020, my Charlie was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), leading me to discover techniques and pain management outside of drug therapies. After my experience, I saw the need to get qualified and provide comfort, strength and relief to dogs in the region.

Services

Remedial Massage

Massage is one of the oldest forms of treatment and when applied to dogs, can reduce pain, inflammation and tenderness from a variety of injuries and improve a dogs overall health.

Remedial massage improves circulation through removing stale and stagnant blood from injured, sore and tight muscles and encouraging new blood packed with nutrients to take its place.

Massage can help to maintain and prolong mobility in senior or obese pets by reducing pain and increasing range of motion in stiff joints and muscles.

Coming in 2024 - Hydrotherapy

Low-level Laser Therapy

Low-Level Laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive, painless treatment that helps stimulate healing and reduce pain at a cellular level using low-intensity lasers or light emitting diodes (LEDs).

Unlike surgical lasers that use heat to cut or burn tissue, LLLT uses near infrared light to target specific areas of the body without damaging surrounding tissue.

LLLT is an effective treatment option that holds great promise as a non-invasive, painless, and scientifically validated approach to pain management, inflammation reduction, and tissue regeneration.

Currently awaiting completion of a clinic in Echuca. Expected completion and opening in mid to late 2024.

Hydrotherapy uses the properties of water and movement to aid in strengthening and toning. Everything within the underwater treadmill is customisable - from the temperature of the water, to the speed of the treadmill to the depth of the water.

Using the underwater treadmill, the water supports the dog's weight to reduce weight baring on any sore limbs. Movement in water is much slower than on land so if your dog has poor balance, they are supported. If you are wanting to exercise an obese dog or tone a show dog, exercising within the treadmill is perfect as the dog will need to push against the resistance water provides.
